Basic Chili

The Goods
  • 1 sack Kidney
  • 1 sack Pinto
  • 3 lb Ground Beef
  • 3 Jalapeno
  • 3 Onion
  • Half bulb Garlic
  • 2 cans Diced Tomatoes
The Mix
  • 4 tbsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ground Coriader
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Cayenne
  • 1 tsp Oregano
Garnish
  • Scallions
  • Sour Cream
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Potatoes



The Night before:
  1. Both beans to pot with water
  2. Boil

  1. Drain and clean the beans
  2. Mix the mix
  3. Cast iron sear meat and drain
  4. Caramelize onions with garlic and jalapeno
  5. Combine and add half mix
  6. Immersion blend third of beans with water
  7. Combine all goods to pot
  8. Add salt and add rest mix
Simmer for eight hours, stirring occasionally
  1. Dice four potatoes
  2. Oil, salt, and pepper
  3. Bake at 425 for 30
Layer potatoes, chili, cheese, sour cream, and scallions

Makes like six quarts, I don't know
